My Process

How I Go About My Business…

1.

Getting Started

Here’s how we’ll set things in motion:

  • You get the ball rolling by reaching out to me via my contact form or email. This will give me the chance to learn a little bit about your business and what I can do to help you
  • I’ll respond to your submission within 2 working days, and if we’re a good fit, we can schedule a short intro call
  • During the call, we’ll dig deeper into your content goals, challenges and timelines, as well as any topics you want to cover. Of course, this will be a chance for you to ask me questions too

2.

Proposal and Quote

This is how we’ll make it official once we’ve decided to work together:

  • I’ll create and send a proposal based on our discussion. This will outline the project expectations, deliverables and timeframe. It will also include the project quote
  • Once you’re happy with the proposal, I’ll send you a contract and an invoice for 50% of the total. Once the contract is signed and the payment is received, your start date is reserved
  • Before getting to work, I’ll ask for any existing resources, style guides, log-in details or team-member intros that are needed for me to get the job done right

3.

Writing

Next, I’ll put pen to paper — or fingers to keyboard, as the case may be:

  • I’ll spend time gathering data from across the web to ensure that all posts I write are packed with value for your readers
  • My writing will then stitch these insights together into a clear and lively narrative,  injected with your brand’s TOV
  • Once the first draft is done, I’ll send it to you for review. At this point, I’ll also send an invoice for the remaining 50%
  • Once you’ve reviewed the content, I’ll work on any revisions or edits you request. You’ll have up to two rounds of revisions so that we get the message well and truly on-point

4.

Onwards!

How we’ll wrap things up (or keep things going!)

  • After the work is signed, sealed and delivered, I’ll send you a brief exit survey so you can share any feedback
  • If you’re happy with how things went, and you’re looking for a longer-term engagement, I’d be very happy to discuss the possibility of a retainer
